Deposit/Cancellation

A credit card is required to be on file when the reservation is made. A 50% deposit is taken for all standard rooms and 100% deposit for all suites.  

Fees & Taxes

The Oceaneer Hotel charges a resort fee of $25/day. You’ll find fast and free WiFi available throughout our public spaces and in each guestroom and suite. The Oceaneer Hotel has onsite parking available for guests on the ground floor of the property. Guest room rates are subject to state and local taxes, which include 4.75% state sales tax, 6% occupancy tax, 2.5% county tax.  

Check In…and Check Out

Check in at the Oceaneer Hotel is 3 pm. Of course, you are welcome to arrive any time and enjoy a light meal in the on-site market or stroll the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Please note that check out is at 11 am.  A valid form of identification is required at check in. You must be 21 years of age or older to check into the hotel.

Room Occupancy

All occupants of each guest room need to be noted and additional charges for occupancy greater than 2 persons applies.

Accessibility

The Oceaneer Hotel is fully compliant with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. ADA-fitted rooms are available to book on the website and by calling reservations at (910)636-5880.

To ensure this, we are committed to complying with the Level AA success criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0). Our site is designed and developed with these guidelines in mind. We test our websites to ensure that they are usable by guests who use assistive technology. Smoking

The Oceaneer Hotel is a non-smoking environment, both indoors and out, which includes outdoor spaces such as room the pool and gardens. We thank you for your cooperation.

Pet Policy

The Oceaneer Hotel knows that pets are part of the family. We have designated three guest rooms as pet friendly so that the whole family can enjoy a break away together.  We restrict pets to dogs only and no greater than 25 pounds. These accommodations are also used by non-pet owners and we have to ensure that furniture, flooring and bedding are free of any trace of pets staying there. Therefore, we charge a daily fee of $50.00 per pet per day for the extra daily cleaning that is required. Any additional cleaning or repairs due to messes and damage caused by a pet will be charged extra to your account at market rates. Here are the house rules for visiting pets:

• Visiting pets must be in the control by their owners at all times and on a leash when walking around the property or Carolina Beach. In the interest of other guests, we do not allow pets in the Lobby, pool and fitness center.
• Please do not leave your pet unattended in the accommodations we hope you brought a kennel for keeping the pet safe while they are alone.
• Whilst you are ‘home’ with your pet, please ensure that they are on their best behavior. Please keep them off the furniture and have chewing toys and/or treats to keep them from damaging furniture or furnishings.
• All droppings must be picked up and disposed of immediately. We are very happy to supply disposable bags if requested.
• Should you arrive at the hotel with a dog that has not been pre-arranged, and we are forced to place you in a non-pet friendly room, an additional $100 per night fee will be charged, as this room will need to be deep cleaned to be returned to a “Pet Free” status.

Lost & Found

If you believe you’ve misplaced something in the hotel during your stay or left something behind after your departure, please contact the front desk immediately. The hotel’s lost and found service can be accessed 24-hours a day.  

Damage

Should there be any excessive cleaning required or damages to the furniture, fixtures, or furnishings in your room during your stay, the Oceaneer reserves the right to assess an additional charge, if applicable. Bathing suits, towels or personal belongings are not permitted to be hung from railings or left outside your guest room.

Noise & Behavior

Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. Noise and behavior regulations are designed to protect guests and ensure all paying guests are provided with a relaxed environment for their stay. This means avoiding loud music and loud parties and avoiding talking too loudly or on speaker phone in common areas.

Photography Policy

The Oceaneer has so many photo-worthy features. It would be greatly appreciated if you would ask permission of staff and guests before taking their image for social media. The Oceaneer Hotel does not allow commercial use of photography of the property or staff. For commercial rights or access, please contact stay@oceaneerhotel.com. Please note that all photography on the hotel website is owned or licensed by the Oceaneer Hotel and misrepresentation of these photographs is an infringement of our rights and may subject the infringer to potential legal action.
